A Newborn Care Specialist is a trained professional who provides overnight (or daytime) support to families in the first weeks and months after bringing their baby home. My role is to help you rest, recover, and feel confident in caring for your baby.

Absolutely. I offer a complimentary phone and/or in person meet and greet before you commit, so you can ask questions, learn about my services, and get a sense of whether I’m the right fit for your family.

As a Registered Nurse (BScN, RN), I bring a medical background alongside caring for your baby. Unlike a doula, I focus specifically on infant care and family rest, with optional RN-level support if needed.

I handle overnight feedings (bottle or bringing baby to you for nursing), burping, diaper changes, soothing, and settling your baby back to sleep. I can help in several additional ways such as the cleaning/sterilizing of bottles/pacifiers etc., tidying the nursery and doing laundry. I also track feedings, sleep patterns, and output – all while you get uninterrupted rest. I am always respectful, quiet and courteous and believe in following a family-centered approach. You will be provided with a post shift report communicated verbally and/or written.

Yes! I support families however they choose to feed their baby-whether that’s exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, formula feeding, or a combination. I also provide education and gentle tips for feeding success.

Yes, over time. While I don’t promote “cry-it-out” methods, I do help babies develop healthy sleep foundations so they gradually learn to sleep for longer stretches, making nights easier for everyone.

Every family is unique. The Root Package at 50 hours is a great starting point. If families want further support after, you’re given 7% off the next package(s) or alternatively you can book flexible care for individual nights (8 hr minimum) at my hourly rate of $55/hr.

Packages: I offer 8, 10 or 12 hour overnight shifts. This ensures I can provide full coverage through the night while you get restorative sleep. We will work together from the beginning to find the perfect hours for you and your family.

After Package option: Flexible individual night shifts starting at 8 hours.

Right now, yes-overnight support is my focus. This is when families need the most rest and when babies can feel most overwhelming.

I’m based in Burlington, Ontario, and serve families in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and surrounding areas. I will always try to accommodate so please inquire if you are not within Halton and hoping for support.

I offer packages ranging from 50 to 300 hours. You can pay in full (with a discounted rate) or pay in monthly installments. Packages are designed to give families flexibility and predictability.

All payments are processed through Practice Better, a secure platform that is HIPAA-compliant and uses bank-level encryption. This means your credit care and banking information remain private, protected, and confidential at all times.

All scheduling, payments and documentation are managed through Practice Better, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This ensures that your personal and payment information remains confidential, encrypted, and protected. You’ll have an easy-to-use portal where you can review your package, track hours, manage payments with confidence and even a private chat with me for easy and secure communications.

My newborn care services are private-pay and not currently covered by health insurance plans. I do carry professional insurance through my nursing designation (RNAO) and I am working with my financial advisor to add additional coverage specific to newborn care. Updates will be provided here once finalized.

Once you decide to move forward, I’ll guide you through a simple and supportive onboarding process:

  1. Practice Better Access – You’ll be set up with a secure client portal (Practice Better), where you can complete your intake form, review and sign the service agreement, and manage payments.

  2. Pre-shift Visit (Complimentary) – About one week before care begins, I’ll spend roughly an hour with your family to review your baby’s routines, feeding and sleeping spaces, and answer any questions so our first overnight feels seamless. During this visit, you’ll also receive your personalized printed Welcome Package, which outlines your chosen package, key details, and helpful resources.

  3. Start of Care – With everything in place, you can begin care feeling prepared, confident, and supported every step of the way.

With my RN background, I’m comfortable caring for babies with additional needs. However, I don’t provide hospital-level care at home. If your baby requires specialized medical support, I’ll guide you appropriately and can work alongside your healthcare team.

Not at all-my goal is to support you, not replace you. Overnight care is designed to give you the chance to rest and restore, so that you can be the parent you wish to be when you are well rested. I’ll handle the overnight needs, while you gain the energy and confidence to show up fully for your baby during the day.

Yes! Gift cards and prepaid packages are available and make a thoughtful baby shower or welcome gift. They can be emailed or printed for giving.

Yes! Overnight support can be especially valuable for families with more than one newborn, and I provide this care at no extra cost.

Your baby’s health and safety always come first. If I am unwell, I will notify you as soon as possible and arrange to reschedule missed hours. If your family is sick, please let me know right away so we can decide together whether to proceed with care or pause until everyone is feeling better. This way, we keep your home environment as safe as possible for your newborn.
